Individual Therapy
We provide psychotherapy services that address the whole individual. Intake/assessment examines individual goals in the major domains of life: family, social, career, education, health, self-care, spirituality, and transitions. Treatment modalities include mindfulness, CBT, interpersonal, DBT, and psychodynamic. Consultation, short term therapy, long-term work, and check-ins are all available. Treatment needs are variable, and Embolden tailors therapy to individual needs.
Couples Therapy
Every couple goes through highs and lows in their relationships, from small scale problems to larger issues overshadowing the relationship. What causes tension in relationships? The main topics for arguments for couples include money, sharing housework, physical intimacy, extended family obligations, children, past relationships, infidelity, and what to do with free time. Couples therapy works by helping clients to see their shared strengths and weaknesses, as well as their individual ones. In addition, premarital or pre-cohabitation counseling can help address issues regarding current and future concerns, decisions, and priorities.

Embolden also offers a new service, counseling for online dating. From profile writing and management, to risk assessment, Embolden Will help you present your best self and help screen your compatibility with others. Included is a package for profile writing, using self-report questionnaire is, personality screening, screening of prospective partners, and help with follow up and dating guidance.

Group Therapy
Group therapy is a powerful modality where three or more members support each other, and are facilitated by the therapist. Group offerings rotate through the year. These may include:

-Young adults in transition. Have you finished high school, but aren’t sure about the next steps? This group encourages problem-solving, decision-making, job interviewing skills, and organizing.

– Bicultural attitudes. For first and second generation teens and young adults who may feel caught between cultural traditions and American youth culture.

-Pet illness and loss. Have you lost a pet who is part of the family or have one who is suffering from illness? This group brings together bereaved animal companions.

Adolescents and Young Adults
Dr. Siddique and Embolden provide services for adolescents and young adults that are individualized and innovative. Adolescents are not mini adults, and have unique developmental, social,and learning needs, as addressed by testing and therapy services. Our services include between session support services through text and email, school advocacy and IEP/504 meetings, and parent consultation.
TESTING & EVALUATIONS
Neuropsychological

In-depth assessment of skills and abilities linked to brain function. The evaluation measure such areas as attention, problem-solving, memory, language, IQ, visual spatial skills, academic skills, and social emotional functioning. Overall, this provides a comprehensive view of an individual, and is the link to appropriate recommendations and interventions to address each area.

Psychoeducational

This testing refers to the psychological tests used to analyze the mental processes underlying your child’s educational performance. This includes behavioral observations in the testing setting and often the classroom setting, teacher and parent observations, and assessment for specific learning disabilities, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. Assessment for ADHD and executive functioning weaknesses are an important component. Measures for anxiety and social concerns may be included.

Psychodiagnostic

Child and adult testing maybe used to help with psychiatric diagnosis and treatment planning. For adults, diagnosis is often highly valuable For job transitions, accommodations in the workplace, a return to school or job training, and working with physicians and other professionals.

Medication reviews

Testing is often helpful in providing information about the efficacy of medication and treatment. This helps the prescribing doctor Fine-tune treatment, and look for areas that have been insufficiently addressed.

ADOS-3 testing for autism spectrum disorder.

This assessment allows you to accurately measure and diagnose autism spectrum disorders across age, developmental level, and language skills.

Presentations
Embolden is a long-standing and strong participant in the community: educational consulting, mental health awareness and screening, and advocacy. Dr. Siddique is available for presentations to professional groups, schools, parents, and businesses. Past topics of interest have included executive functioning, anxiety disorders, racism and mental health, self-care and mental health, cyber bullying and social media, resiliency, mindfulness, meditation and relaxation strategies, borderline personality disorder, and volunteering/ community service.

Combined with psychoeducational testing, it helps provide comprehensive information and recommendations to help children and teens six and up.
